Classroom Garden Leader – Volunteer to lead a class each week in a garden activity. Each Garden Leader is paired with a teacher at Becker. The Garden Leader communicates with the teacher and prepares and leads a garden activity each week for the class.
Garden Leader Assistant – Volunteer to assist a Garden Leader. Ideally a class has 2 or 3 activities occurring simultaneously to allow a smaller number of students to work in the class garden. A Garden Leader Assistant provides additional support and supervision in the garden.
Garden Maintenance – Volunteer to help with ongoing tasks in the garden: weeding, collecting compost material from local vendors, watering, cleaning the pond, or other projects that need completion. You can help out at any time, or join us for community garden maintenance during Green Classroom Workdays.
