Classroom Garden Leader – lead a class each week in a garden activity. Each Garden Leader is paired with a teacher at Becker. The Garden Leader communicates with the teacher and prepares and leads a garden activity each week for the class.
Garden Leader Assistant – assist a Garden Leader. Ideally a class has 2 or 3 activities occurring simultaneously to allow a smaller number of students to work in the class garden. A Garden Leader Assistant provides additional support and supervision in the garden.
Garden Maintenance – help with ongoing tasks in the garden: weeding, collecting compost material from local vendors, watering, cleaning the pond, or other projects that need completion. Times are flexible, or join us for community garden maintenance during Green Classroom Workdays.
